Another busy day

I managed to kind of wake up when I wanted to today...the alarm did go off at 9ish but i decided to sleep until 10. I woke up and walked to the bike shop. The bloke there told me he was going to Dundee to get some more bikes and to come back later. After that, I walked to the chemistry building and sat in the chemistry library and did some studying. I then decided, knowing I still had about an hour and a half until class, to go get coffee. I went to (and this is the name I couldn't remember last time!) BeanScene. I sat there and read the Scottish newspaper until a couple of my friends came in. I sat with them for about 5 minutes and had to go to class. I went to classes and I even ended up getting to my Greek class before they started! After class, I went back to the bike shop and picked up my bike, lights, and lock for 110 quid. I was not excited. I had to go and buy a crappy bike when I have a good bike at home and will be purchasing a very good bike when I get back...I also bought a St. Andrews sweatshirt today to try and kinda fit in more (wearing my Ripon sweatshirts are bound to set me apart...) for 30 pounds...things are expensive..

So I got my bike and went back to my flat. I talked to my parents via Skype and I was even able to see them! I ate a salad with a piece of cheese for dinner and a nutri-grain bar. It was grand. I think if I were at Ripon, I'd be eating double what I eat here.

At 9, I met up with my friends at the Raisin since most of us don't have class tomorrow. When we were all there, my friends from New Hall, Calen, Adam, and Asher, had already been drinking. Their hall put on a 'get to know each other' thing and gave out free alcohol. That amazes me...the university gave their students free alcohol! Insane...

They ended up going home early...probably for the best. The rest of us headed to the free bop tonight. I was there for approximately 5-10 minutes before I decided it definately wasn't for me. I felt so awkward being there but at least now I know what it is...it's pretty much just like a dance in high school...lots of dancing and strobe lights. I think I would have felt better with Justine there. I don't like being at things like that without her. Justine, I love you!

So here I am...back at home! I also got invited to eat Chinese with the guys I live with! and to play football! I might just take them up on it! And what a lucky day...on my way home (alone...) I found 20p! It's like finding 4 dimes at home! Sweet!
